Legal Support Project - Project Officer

17.5 hours p/w - fixed term to 31 December 2017. Based in Belfast

Salary: £25,440 (pro rata) plus pension contribution.

This post holder will assist to develop and sustain the Legal Support Project at Law Centre NI. The Legal Support Project trains and provides volunteer legal representatives for clients needing assistance at social security tribunals. The post holder will be responsible for the support of the volunteers engaged in the Legal Support Project and prepare and present cases to social security tribunals.

Candidates will be required to either:

(i) have a degree in law (min 2.2 hons) and at least the full time equivalent of two years experience of providing advice and representation in social security law; or

(ii) be an adviser with at least the full time equivalent of three years experience of providing advice and representation in social security law.
