Law Centre NI launches COVID-19 legal resource webpage

Law Centre NI has launched a new webpage dedicated to providing up to date legal and policy information on contingency plans for employment, social security, immigration and community care. The page is designed to give members of the public, as well as front line advisers, quick and accurate information around key changes at this current time.

Law Centre NI Director, Ursula O’Hare, said: “Our legal advice line is a crucial resource for people and advisers, particularly in the areas of employment and social security in the current context. There has been a surge in demand for advice and our legal advisers have stepped up to the plate to meet the demand.

“I would encourage anyone who needs advice in our core areas of law to contact us on (028) 9024 4401. Or visit the dedicated Coronavirus (COVID-19) web page on our website.

“As well as delivering direct advice to people we are also committed to providing first class public legal information to help at this time. Our new webpage includes resources like our FAQs on employment rights in relation to Coronavirus (COVID-19), up to date changes to social security law and practice and contingency provisions for immigration. Our training team is also running popular webinars for advisers which are placed on the page as a free resource.

“During this current crisis we have seen the importance of access to free and independent advice. Law Centre NI remains committed to doing all we can to help people at this time.”
