 A wide ranging programme for advisers, legal practitioners, health and social care staff, trade unionists, community and voluntary sector workers, and anyone who needs to develop their knowledge in the areas of:

  • benefits and social security law
  • community care law
  • employment right
  • immigration, asylum, trafficking and the law
  • mental health and capacity law
  • legal advice skills

  • Social Security Appeals: Identifying Errors in Law and Appeals to the Social Security Commissioner
  • Welfare Reform: an Update
  • Movement between Countries for Asylum Seekers (Dublin Regulations)
  • Immigration Law: Right to Family and Private Life
  • Immigration Law: Child Victims of Human Trafficking
  • Mental Capacity and Decision Making in Health and Social Care

Special offers

  • Those completing the Welfare Rights Adviser Programme will be entitled to a free place on the two-day Introduction to Employment Law course
